"Ilha do Papagaio" is located approximately 30 kilometres south of Florianópolis in the state of Santa Catarina. The island can be easily reached from Florianópolis by boat within 40 minutes. If you like it faster, you can take the helicopter, the flight just takes about 10 minutes. You can also get there by car and leave the car land-based on a guarded car-park and take a boat shuttle which brings you to the island within a few minutes.

"Parrots Island" was for more than 20 years in private hands of the family Sehn. In 1993, the Sehns decided to create a luxury eco-resort for nature lovers, which respects the naturally preserved vegetation. Nowadays, the visitors can experience this unique resort in the middle of a natural paradise, when they spend a day or some nights in one of the 20 chalets. Here, guests can escape from civilisation without foreswear luxury.

The resort's chalets are all individually furnished and were decorated by the owner himself. All chalets offer besides the common standards (air-condition, fridge, safe, private bathroom with shower and blow-drier, CD-player, TV with DVD-player) also veranda with beautiful ocean view.

The total area of the island is 142 000m² in size, in which 80 % consist of natural vegetation. The "Mata Atlantica", the coastal rainforest, is characteristic for the green appearance. The island offers not only restorative calmness and exquisite comfort. Guests, who like it more sociably, can visit the the restaurant which is located in the centre of the chalets. The restaurant offers a big choice of fresh fish, seafood, dishes from the region, salads and freshly-baked bread.

Because the island is located in the mid of a nature reserve, it is an ideal location for whale watching. One of the highlights between August and September is the observation of the huge animals. But the island offers also a huge choice of other different activities, particularly in and on the water - such as deep sea fishing, snorkelling; diving, water skiing, kayaking, beach volleyball or boat rides to lonely islands. Another highlight is the 7 eco-trails which lead through the flora and fauna of the island. Here, guests can discover the beautiful nature.
