Our offered hotel supports the project "Baleia Franca", which protects the whales in the South of Brazil. These animals can grow up to a size of 17 meters length and 45 tons of weight. Between July and November they give birth to their calves and feed their offspring at the coast of Santa Catarina. These whales are called Baleias Francas and are known by experts as Eubalene Australis or Right whales. A group of specialists, who have founded this whale project, also supports the tourism project and provides detailed information before and on the tour. Day 1: Florianopolis- Praia do Rosa
Pick-up at the airport of Florianopolis. Transfer to the eco-resort Vida Sol e Mar. Check in. The afternoon is on your own disposal.
Dinner at the resort.
Day 2: Praia do Rosa and surroundings
From 7 am on in the restaurant during which the travel guide will explain today s agenda and the events. At about 8 am departure to the Praia Garopaba (duration about 30 minutes) after that you will enter a special boat for whale watching. This tour is executed by trained, specialized travel guides and biologists they will provide detailed information about the whales. Lunch will be served at the Praia Garopaba. In the afternoon it is possible to visit the historical city of Garopaba here you will also have the opportunity to buy some regional handcrafts. Following, return to the resort.
Dinner and overnight in the eco-resort Vida Mar e Sol.
Day 3: Praia do Rosa and surroundings
After breakfast, at about 9 am, visit of the city Imbituba with a stop at the Museu da Baleia the whale museum and the last whaling station. The lunch will be served in the restaurant Molhes da Barra, where you can enjoy the panoramic view over the wonderful beaches.
Afterwards, we will return to the resort dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Praia do Rosa and surroundings
After the breakfast at about 9 am we will continue with our tour to Praia do Siriu, Gamboa and other beaches, where we will have the opportunity to watch the whales from the beach. Lunch will be served in a typical Brazilian restaurant. At the end visit of and bath in the natural pool of a waterfall in the national park Serra do Tabuleiro, which is protected by the state.
In the late afternoon return to the eco-resort Vida Sol e Mar.
Day 5: Praia do Rosa- Florianopolis
Breakfast in the Vida Sol e Mar resort and transfer to the airport according to the departure times (if needed extension program)

The lodge provides several apartments, which are embedded into the hilly landscape. Special equipments of the hotels are a restaurant, a swimming pool, two tennis courts, a library and common rooms. Besides that, the hotel offers many excursions, like whale watching and horseback riding. The pousada Vida Sol e Mar is located on a hill with a beautiful view over the Praia do Rosa beach from where you can use the private way to the pousada.

Notes:
The boat trip will be executed in a 9 meter long semi-rigid boat for 20 persons. Each person will receive a life vest and we will be accomplished by a national Sailing Regulations boat. The whale watching tours are dependent on weather and sea conditions and will be changed in case. This tour cannot be taken by children under 6 years.
