Serra Catarinense (2 days) Travel Package Brazil Santa Catarina Urubici

After breakfast in the morning you will be picked up at your pousada and transported by van or personal transport from Florianopolis up into Serra Catarinense. After a journey of about 3 ½ hours we will arrive in the majestic mountainous landscape: you will see the canyons, waterfalls, crystal clear rivers and araucaria woods that punctuate the Serra Catarinense landscape. We will see for ourselves the highest mountain in this region: the Morro da Igreja (1,822m); which offers a europhic view all around at the summit - especially in the direction of the famed Pedra Furada cliff formation (drilled-through cliff).

On our way there we will make a stop at the Veu de Noiva ("bride's veil" waterfall. Here we will have the chance to settle down in a comfortable mountain lodge and enjoy some snacks (optional). Then we will press on to another attraction: the impressive Cascada de Avencal waterfall, which is 100m high. Those visitors who are really brave will have the chance to cross the ravine over a steel rope (canopy).

In the evening, we will have a meal and spend the night in the charming pousada of "Villa da Montanha". These cabanas / block houses were constructed individually, with a love of detail; they offer a level of comfort fit for an unforgettable holiday experience right in the middle of a fantastic natural setting. You will get the chance to enjoy the warm and familiar hospitality of the locals, and get to know one of the most beautiful regions of Santa Catarina.

On the next day, after breakfast, there is the optional chance to take a little ride on one of the horses of Villa da Montanha.
